Fishing Licenses

N.C. Fishing Licenses can be purchased at Lakeview Grocery in downtown Lake Lure (across from the ABC Store). Open 7 days. 7:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. Summer Hours; 7:00 am – 7:00 p.m. Winter Hours.

You may also purchase a license by calling the N.C. Wildlife Office at 1-888-248-6834 if you have a credit or debit card & a valid driver’s license. When you call, you’ll receive a “license code” to keep with you so that you can start fishing immediately – your actual license will be mailed to you.

All fishing requires a N.C. Fishing License & if fishing for trout you must have the additional “trout stamp” on your license.

Fishing License Fees:        

            NC Resident:              $5 for 10 days w/o trout stamp      $15 yr. w/o trout stamp

                                                $15 for 10 day s w/trout stamp       $20 yr. w/trout stamp

 

            Non- Resident:           $10 for 10 days w/o trout stamp    $30 yr. w/o trout stamp

                                                $20 for 10 day s w/trout stamp       $40 yr. w/trout stamp

*16 years and under may fish w/o a license, as long as they are accompanied by an adult with a valid N.C. Fishing License.

**65 years and over “Life Time” License $15 includes trout stamp.
